Polk County Healthcare Workforce Collaborative was initiated to help inform and guide students to be aware of all the career opportunities available to them in this industry. There are many ways to educate these students on what areas are available to them.

Discover Healthcare
Days
The Polk County Healthcare Workforce Collaborative hosts several Discover Healthcare Days throughout the year. These events provide students an opportunity to meet face-to-face with various healthcare professionals, learn about their roles in the healthcare industry, and the education/experiences that led them there.
Presentations and
In-Class Speakers
Work with the Polk County Healthcare Workforce Collaborative to schedule specialists from area colleges and hospitals to come into your classroom and present on a variety of topics including their career choices in the healthcare industry and how they achieved their goals.
Job Shadows
and Tours
The Polk County Healthcare Workforce Collaborative can also assist to schedule tours for groups to go behind the scenes of the hospitals students may be interested in.

Health Fairs

Thinking of something for more of a broad audience? Coordinate a health fair or other events that allow students to approach areas of interest and learn more in-depth with the experts.
