FEEDBACK FROM A STUDENT

“Ever since I was a kid, I’ve always wanted to help people in any way I can. Of course there are many different was to do that, but this seemed like the best way for me to do that. My mom is a nurse, and after watching her go through Nursing School, I knew I wanted to do something similar. However, I knew I did not want to be sit in a hospital all day, I knew I had to do something out in the field.

Taking classes like the EMT and Paramedic courses, I get to experience real-life calls in the field with patients and firefighters. The courses also allow me access to the hospital side and working with nurses throughout the healthcare system. I enjoy working as an EMT, because every day offers something different. One day you could get called for someone who is experiencing difficulty breathing, and the next you could be working on a structure fire.”
