Food Service AssociateServes, prepares, assembles and delivers food according to specified menu and dietary procedures. Performs proper cleaning and sanitation of foodservice dishes, utensils, equipment, and work area. Follows all HACCP and Food Safety Regulations. Successful performance of this work will result in safe, attractive, and delicious food to patients and guests of UPH-DM. Provides exemplary customer service skills. Must be able to deliver, set up and serve food to patients and guests on a limited time schedule.
Food Service HostPerforms routine dietary services to patient care areas according to established quality standards. Consistently utilizes a holistic approach considering physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, safety, and related criteria appropriate to age of the patients served in the assigned area. Serves, and stores food according to specified menu and dietary procedures. Performs proper cleaning and sanitation of foodservice equipment, and work area. Successful performance of this work will result in safe food to patients and guests of UPH-DM. Provides exemplary customer service skills. Must be able to deliver, set up and serve food to patients, visitors and staff on a limited time schedule. Perform specified cash handling duties. Acts as a liaison between the patient, Food & Nutrition department and Nursing Services and attends to all patient food needs. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and all hospital staff.
Laundry WorkerThe Laundry Worker supports the delivery of services to UnityPoint Health-Des Moines (UPH-DM) and outside clinics through the efficient and timely delivery and management of linens. Utilizes LinenHelper to track and maintain all par locations and deliveries.
Monitor TechObserves cardiac monitors for changes in cardiac rhythm and communicates this to the nurse caring for the patient of diverse ages. Documents cardiac status appropriately.
Patient Care TechnicianProvides technical services and support for patients undergoing surgery and their family. Successful performance contributes to a holistic approach to the delivery of services, improved patient care, and a high level of satisfaction from patients and families.
Safety TechnicianSafety Techs are responsible for providing services that seek to create a safe and secure environment for the departments where they are assigned. The Safety Tech undertakes activities designed to identify, deter, abate and de-escalate routine and emergent situations that occur on the assigned unit.
Supply TechnicianPrimary focus is on replenishing supply closets (PARs) and ordering supplies for clinical departments. Uses the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to properly order supplies, print labels, maintain PARs, replenish specialty carts and respond to stat requests.
