Polk County Healthcare Workforce Collaborative

Year 2, Quarter 1

We have made it to a new school year! The past few summer months may have been “quiet” for some, but we have been busy preparing ourselves to hit the ground running once students and faculty return to schools. Our Navigators have been diligently planning new engaging events and meeting with school counselors, teachers and other support staff to be ready to show potential students interested in healthcare the benefits of choosing this important field as a career path.

Beginning in September, we have many events already filling up. Additionally, with the help of our website, social media accounts, and a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, we expect to see more and more engaged and invested students in attendance. Also this summer, our new Pathway Navigator Jenn Wagner worked extensively to build relationships with our partners to make sure she can be a resource to students when they arrive on campus.

You can find events scheduled throughout the year like the ones listed below.
